Dr. Maria Brosig, Fontane Archive Potsdam. After, with and against Fontane: Author and Work in the Mirror of Contemporary Literature.

Dr. Brosig will deal with the so-called ” Nachwanderbücher” as an echo of the “Wanderungen durch die Mark Brandenburg”, but also with adaptations of such famous novels as Effi Briest and Errors, tangles. She will also present a current phenomenon of Theodor Fontane reception: the astonishing boom of Fontane detective stories in which Theodor Fontane is made the investigator. Afterwards, we would like to take advantage of the Literaturhotel’s facilities to engage in conversation over a glass of wine – weather permitting, even in the garden under the old trees.
