Martina Wildner

Surprisingly rousing: Martina Wildner, born September 11, 1968 in Allgäu, is a German writer. After changing her major from Islamic studies to graphic design, she decided to work as a freelance writer and painter in 1998. In 2003, she received the Peter Härtling Prize for her novel Jede Menge Sternschnuppen. In 2014, she then received the German Youth Literature Award for her children’s book Königin des Sprungturms. In the same year, she was a member of the jury for the children’s and youth program of the International Literature Festival in Berlin. Today, the author lives in Berlin with her family.
