Antje R\u00e1vik Strubel published, among others, the novels “Unter Schnee” (2001), “Fremd Gehen. A Night Play” (2002), “Tupolev 134” (2004), and the episodic novel “In the Woods of the Human Heart” (2016). Her work has been honored with numerous awards; her novel “K\u00e4ltere Schichten der Luft” (2007) was nominated for the Leipzig Book Fair Prize and was awarded the Rheingau Literature Prize and the Hermann Hesse Prize, and the novel “Sturz der Tage in die Nacht” (2011) was longlisted for the German Book Prize. Antje R\u00e1vik Strubel was invited to the Villa Aurora in Los Angeles on a scholarship, as well as to the Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies as writer in residence in 2012. In 2019, she received the Prize of the Houses of Literature. Her novel “Blaue Frau” was awarded the 2021 German Book Prize. In July 2022, the essay volume “It never stops that you have to say something” was published. She translates from English and Swedish Joan Didion, Lena Andersson, Lucia Berlin, and Virginia Woolf, among others. Antje R\u00e1vik Strubel lives in Potsdam.
